Agent for Rookie WR Jamison Crowder Denies Domestic Abuse Allegations Against Client

2015 NFL Scouting Combine

The agent for Redskins 4th round draft pick Jamison Crowder is denying his client’s domestic abuse allegations to ESPN on Thursday after pictures of a woman with bruises and cuts in her mouth were posted on his Instagram.

Agent Tory Dandy says that the rookie wide receiver’s social media accounts was hacked.

Sports Illustrated has the rest of the story:

The caption on the post, which appeared to have been made by someone claiming to be an ex-girlfriend of Crowder, included [sic], “Ive had things thrown at me, poured on me, ive been choked, had a concussion, bruised, busted lips, grabbed, tossed around, hair pulled, verbally abused.”

The caption added, “I don’t want anything from you but i do think the next person deserves to be aware of where your anger takes you.”

The post has since been removed from Crowder’s account.

Crowder’s agent, Tory Dandy, told ESPN, “His account was hacked. Jamison hasn’t hit anybody.”

Twitter user @TJMartinez21 captured screenshots of the post on Crowder’s Instagram account on Wednesday night. The screenshots can be viewed here and here, via Deadspin [Warning: Graphic content].

Washington released a statement on Thursday that read, “The Washington Redskins are aware of an off-field situation involving Jamison Crowder. We have been in touch with the NFL office and will continue to follow proper League protocol and assist them in any way we can to gather all of the facts. We will not be making any further comment at this time.”

The NFL said in a statement that it is “looking into the matter.”

Crowder, 21, was drafted in the fourth round by Washington last month. He played collegiately at Duke.

The off-season grinds on as the coaching staff tries to mold the 2015-16 team that will play in the Super Bown.

Sounds like BRANDON SCHERFF has work to do as a tackle. Maybe he should be moved to right guard?

TRENT MURPHY evidently is poised to take over for BRIAN ORAKPO.
