Redskins Working On Relocating Season-Ticket Holders After Renovations

With the Redskins working to build two party decks in the 400 level at FedEx Field, the team is putting some season-ticket holders on the move. E-mails went out to a group of season-ticket holders on Thursday informing them that they were eligible for upgrades, according to Mike Jones of the Washington Post.

Per the report, the team has already removed 3,000 seats from the 400 level and according to zoning paperwork as many as 5,000 seats might be removed from the stadium which last season had a listed capacity of 91,704.

“This is something we send out every year as part of our relocation process,” team spokesman Tony Wyllie said. “It’s a select number of seats so we just need to know who wants to upgrade and who doesn’t.” The team is not concerned that it will not get enough fans interested in an upgrade – a more expensive option – which could create some issues in the construction of the party decks. The plan is for the work to be completed before the start of the season.
