Breaking Down Washington’s Three Top Games in the 2021 Season

What a wild 2020 for Washington, who looked like a team that was going to be lucky to win 4-5 games, and by the time it was all said and done, they were staring at Tom Brady and the Bucs in the NFC Wild Card game in D.C.

While they lost that night, they are a team that will need to be dealt with, and you can see how in 2021 they have plenty of big games to get after home and away.

The team snagged Ryan Fitzpatrick off the free agent wire, and he’s ready to come out and have a huge 2021 season.

Look for Washington to be overall better, and for the team to challenge the best in the NFC.

While there’s a number of great matchups on the Giants slate, including divisional games vs Dallas, the Eagles and Giants, the team also has a number of great games, home and away to look forward to.

Here are the 3 matchups that I’m most looking forward to:

9/26 at Buffalo – Josh Allen and the Bills were the 2nd best club in the AFC a year ago after advancing to the AFC Championship game. Now they take on a Washington team that has to be stopped if ur the Bills, with the number one threat being that defense that can get to Allen. Don’t lose sight of this battle early in the season.

10/24 at Green Bay – Everything in 2021 for the Packers centers around Aaron Rodgers and what’s going to happen to the franchise QB’s contract as he looks ahead to want to get out of cheese land and head out west in the 2021 season. If Rodgers is gone, they will likely turn to young QB Jordan Love, who is nowhere near Rodgers. Let’s see if Washington can score the upset on the road.

11/29 at Seattle – The Hawks at home are a team that no one wants to go up against, as they are as good as any team in the entire NFL. Give them credit, they’ve built the ’12th Man’ award and fans eat it up year in and year out. With this being prime time, it won’t be an easy one for Washington to hang with Russell Wilson and company.

    Hey CJ, where’s Marc Lande?
We’ve come a long way since the free agency period started.
Used to enjoy trading info and banter with him.
Do you want to give it a go?

How about a little team construct for a minute?
Looks for all the world to me that DeAndre Carter is on this squad.
The coaches are talking up his receiver ability.
If he becomes the # 7 emergency receiver and main teams returner, he has a job for sure.
Coach Kaczor surely wasn’t pleased with 2020’s return play despite Danny Johnson finally getting the hang of KO’s.
It’s plain to me that Carter was brought here to perform three roles.
    (1) emergency WR
    (2) punt returner
    (3) kick returner
That versatility allows assets to be placed elsewhere.
It leaves Danny Johnson with only a back-up KO slot and a fifth CB.
William Jackson III, Benjamin St.Juste, Kendall Fuller, Jimmy Moreland, and Daryl Roberts appear to have those CB slots well in hand.
That leaves Johnson as the odd-man out.
