Trevor Whoever!

In week 1 of the 2019 preseason, Haskins looked awful and the press corp lambasted his performance burying him for week’s as a viable WFT option at QB.  Now, Haskins makes a return of sorts on Sunday in a much better place. Yet, his foot hold on the starting qb position is slipping by a way too fickle fan base obsessed with college level talent as opposed to developing professional.

WFT is in a good position with 2 young quarterback signed for a few seasons, each.  But Haskins is the future for WFT until his rookie contract expires even if Haskins shows less…heck, Kilmer, Sonny and JT were all on the roster many seasons ago!

With Haskins start thinking more like star basketball player Ralph Sampson and star musician Henry Rollins, not so much: do rags and pu pu platters and last second selfie formations and gangsta raps.  All one needs this offseason was a beautiful written article bringing readers inside a NFL regime….for a 21 year old, that seems like a leader.  If Haskins was a Trevor-liked Johnny Rah-Rah, after week 1’s halftime, WFT press and fan base would have been going bonkers–in a good way!

As for Haskins this past Sunday, he got very little help from his receivers. Actually, the same script has held true from his receivers last season at times.

When this writer was a kid in the 80s the Gibbs ‘NFL rule’ or rather ‘what us fans motto was’ when it came to when a receiver should catch a ball: if a pro receiver gets his hands on the ball, that receiver should catch the ball.

According to this motto, this writer counted 8 passes that should have been caught by WFT receivers that were dropped on Sunday. This writer sees many quarterbacks missing on many passes but few are doing and making a typical plays.  Haskins looks close to doing some very good things while missing on too many passes earlier on in his career.  Stop thinking pu pu platters people. Start thinking 20-point plus comebacks when necessary!

Maybe Haskins has a soft touch problem but this writer does not think so.  Maybe time to see how Alex Smith or Kyle Allen can lay a pass into a receivers hand but this writer does not think so.
From my layman’s perspectives starting next week hopefully WFT receivers will have shown maturity.

Hmmm…do you think Haskins can throw a ball to a player’s hands, yes.

For a QB who was advertised as strong armed coming out of college–hmmm, maybe Dwayne just play 500 on the field this weekend. Heck  is 500 on that plu plu platter, wink.  This writer can take a 5 td, 4 int game–has that been done!

WFT receiver should preparing to use their hands on every route.  Haskins appears to have a combination of good coaching and  good instinct from a layman’s perspective.

WFT fans are nuts if Haskins, fans are not sold on him–period. Get at em week 3 at the Browns!

Now how about a deep pass! WFT, today!
