Redskins Add Former Rams Wide Out Brian Quick

The Redskins continued to overhaul their wide receiver unit on Friday, adding former Ram Brian Quick, a person with knowledge of the situation confirmed to Mike Jones of the Washington Post.

A second-round pick out of Appalachian State in 2012, Quick started a career-high eight games in 2016, recording 41 catches for 564 yards and three touchdowns (all career bests).

Th 6-foot-3, 218-pound Quick gives the Redskins yet another big-target wide receiver. Earlier this month, they signed the 6-4 Terrelle Pryor. The team also expects to have a healthy Josh Doctson (6-2) back after an injury-plagued rookie year, and the 6-3 Maurice Harris also returns, as does Kendall Thompson (6-2), who spent last season on the practice squad.

Hopefully QUICK, PRYOR Jr, DOCTSON, HARRIS, CROWDER, and someone else not named GRANT will fill the bil this upcoming at WR.

I don’t think they draft a WR unless a great one falls into their slot when they’re on the clock.

So if COUSINS is locked in and WR needs are off the draft board, what’s left?

DE, DT, ILB, OLB, CB, FS, OG, C, RB.

Not a lot of needs on offense.

Being an old lineman, I think you finish the o-line rebuild with a DAN FEENEY pick in the second round, and a JOHN SULLIVAN signing if he hasn’t already flown the coop, or NICK MANGOLD if still on the market.

With that accomplished, I wouldn’t be adverse to a RB in the first or third round.

All the rest could be defense because to me all offensive needs would be taken care of in 2017.

017 best available filling a defensive need preferably DE, or a top RB like CHRISTIAN McCAFFERY.
    049 DAN FEENEY OG Indiana
081 RB or DE, MONTRAVIUS ADAMS DT if available.
    114 best available defense
    124 ” ” ”
    155 best available OLB
    202 best available defense
    212 ” ” ”
    221 ” ” ”
236 L.T. LOGAN RB North Carolina

It’s mock season, so here we go with today’s guesses, as I know nothing of these young men, all based on needs not best available.

    017 REUBEN FOSTER ILB Alabama
    049 DAN FEENEY OG Indiana
    114 NATE PETERMAN QB Pittsburgh
124 RASUL DOUGLAS CB West Virginia
    155 KYLE FULLER C Baylor
212 DYLAN DONAHUE OLB West Georgia
    221 KEIONTA DAVIS DE Chattanooga
236 T.J. LOGAN RB North Carolina

Well, our latest get relieves the pressure at ILB, but unless COUSINS is traded to CLEVELAND for two of their high picks, I can’t see the overall defense improving that much.

Their #1, and #52 sounds about right.

COMPTON has not signed his tender as of yet so this move was obviously needed.

Despite the moves at safety and along the defensive line, major improvement is needed by several top fifteen talents in this draft.

      DT, DE, OLB, CB, FS.

A top five talent here would really help accelerate this rebuild.

On offense OG, C, RB, QB, and WR.
