Redskins have signed free-agent cornerback Will Blackmon and have placed safety Duke Ihenacho on injured reserve, Keith McMillan of the Washington Post reports.
The 30-year-old worked out for the Redskins on Tuesday morning. A ninth-year veteran, and 2006 fourth-round pick of Green Bay, Blackmon was cut earlier this month by the Seahawks.
He has also spent time with the Giants and Jaguars. He has 119 career tackles and an interception and has played only two full seasons.
Washington needed help at cornerback, with Chris Culliver suspended one game and Justin Rogers nursing plantar fasciitis.
