Baker and Peters Both Fined for Fight In Sunday’s Redskins-Eagles Game

The Washington Redskins play the Philadelphia Eagles

Jason Peters was fined $10,000 for his involvement in the fight that followed Redskins nose tackle Chris Baker blocking Eagles quarterback Nick Foles to the ground in Sunday’s game, Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Peters’ fine was for unnecessarily striking an opponent in the head area after the play was over, according to the NFL office. While the league ruled that Baker’s hit was legal and that he would receive no further discipline, he was fined $8,268 for grabbing an opponent by the face mask.

Both Peters and Baker were ejected from the game.
