The Redskins will have some flexibility after a few years of enduring league imposed salary cap penalties.
General manager Bruce Allen told Jim Miller and Pat Kirwan of NFL Radio the team will be active in free agency, Dan Steinberg of the Washington Post reports.
“We’ll have some room,” Allen said. “We’re gonna have some room to do some things. But we have some players who are free agents, and we’re going to talk to them first, to try to retain them. But we have the ability to maneuver around, and we’ll be active in free agency.”
