MNF Showdown

The Washington Redskins made the playoffs a season ago but this a lot can change in one year as they are now at 3-7 and are without any real chance to make a return trip to the postseason. Robert Griffin III has failed to recapture the explosiveness he had before tearing his ACL and it has definitely affected his play as he has put up pedestrian numbers this season and has yet to score a rushing touchdown after scoring 7 in 2012. The Washington Redskins as a whole have underachieved which can largely be attributed to the fact that their defense has been one of, if not the worst in the NFL; giving up an average of 31+ points per game.

This week they host the San Francisco 49ers who have dropped the last two games. The 49ers have struggled on offense recently and are fortunate to be playing a defense as porous as Washington’s, against which they hope to get back on track offensively. Colin Kaepernick has not looked like the same player he was a year ago as San Francisco have passed for a league low 168 yards per game. The 49ers only have one win over a team with a winning record and need to take care of business if they are hoping to return to the Super Bowl.

When these two teams get together on Monday Night Football it will be in the trenches where the game is won as the Redskins and 49ers have the 1st and 5th best rushing attacks respectively. In the past week, the Redskins Vs. 49ers tickets for this Monday Night Football showdown have trended down 25% and are currently averaging $158 per seat with a Get-in of $31.
