The Redskins have re-signed tight end Logan Paulsen to a three-year deal.
Paulsen would have become a restricted free agent on Tuesday, but Washington managed to work out a deal to retain the fourth-year veteran.
The financial terms of the deal weren’t immediately known.
Signed as an undrafted free agent out of UCLA in 2010, Paulsen has served primarily as a backup but took over as starting tight end in 2012 when Fred Davis suffered a ruptured left Achilles’ tendon. Paulsen recorded a career-high 25 catches for 308 yards and a touchdown. The 6-foot-5, 261-pound Paulsen is also valued by the Redskins for his blocking ability.
And DARREL YOUNG as well.
