Redskins wide receiver Pierre Garcon has only played in three games this season after injuring his foot against the Saints back in the first week of the season.
According to Mike Garafolo of USA Today, Garcon has a torn tendon in his foot and could sit out the next two games leading into the team’s bye on Nov. 11, according to a person briefed on the specifics of Garcon’s injury.
The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because the team hadn’t divulged the tendon issue and had only mentioned the inflamed capsule below the toe in his right foot, with head coach Mike Shanahan saying the injury was “very much a mystery.”
The person briefed on Garcon’s injury said it’s possible Garcon could play before the bye but that the likely scenario would be for him to rest until the Nov. 18 game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
