Morgan Says He Got Death Threats After Loss to Rams

Redskins receiver Joshua Morgan said he received death threats on Twitter after his costly 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty in a 31-28 loss to St. Louis, John Keim of the Washington Examiner reports.

Morgan’s penalty forced the Redskins into a 62-yard field goal attempt that Billy Cundiff missed wide right.

“I heard everything, especially when they get you on Twitter and are sending you death threats and wishing you bad things and your first born,” Morgan said. “You see it all, you hear it all. You never let it get to you especially with me being from D.C….They treated me like they did Kyle Williams last year. It’s all over my Twitter.”

Morgan said he didn’t take any threats seriously.

“The only thing I take seriously is football and family,” he said. “Nothing really scares me. I’m from D.C.”

Morgan also said he received a fine from the NFL, though he did not disclose the amount. He also said he doesn’t think other teams will target him to get him to lose his cool.

“They know that none of us are dumb enough to make the same mistake twice,” Morgan said.
