Redskins Make Roster Moves

The Washington Redskins have promoted tight end Rob Myers and defensive lineman Doug Worthington from the practice squad to the 53-man roster, Chuck Carroll of Football News Now reports.

Tight end Dominique Byrd was released to make room on the 53-man roster for both Myers and Worthington. The Redskins already had an open spot after placing safety LaRon Landry on the injured reserve list last week. Myers had also been released from the practice squad last week, but re-signed to the eight-man unit on Monday and will join the active roster today.
