Just over a week after his self-admitted poor performance against the Dallas Cowboys, it’s fair to say Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall took a step towards making up for said performance, as he was named NFC Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts in the Redskins 23-17 win over the Seattle Seahawks.
Hall recorded an interception, seven passes defended, and five tackles during the game; his interception came on the Seahawks very last offensive drive, thwarting their potential comeback attempt.
Ironically, even with the recognition, one could argue that Hall’s performance did have a blemish or two. He was very close to intercepting another pass during the game, and was beaten by receiver Golden Tate for a touchdown reception in the third quarter, which gave Seattle a 17-7 lead.
This is Hall’s second time receiving this award. He also received last year, after his four interception performance helped the Redskins seal a 17-14 win over the Chicago Bears.
