Redskins WR Moss on if QB Grossman should keep his job: “No question”

Redskins wide receiver Santana Moss made it crystal clear who he wants under center throwing him the football.

Moss, when asked if quarterback Rex Grossman should keep his starting gig after a shaky four-interception performance against the Eagles on Sunday, said: “You just can’t give up on somebody because they had a bad outing.”

The former Hurricane standout also said there’s “no question” that Grossman should remain the team’s starting signal caller, despite being benched for John Beck in the fourth quarter.

The Redskins, who lost to the Eagles 20-13 in Week six, travel to Carolina to face the 1-4 Cam Newton-lead Panthers next week.

If Grossman is named the starter I’m not going to waste 3 hours of my one day off from work watching. I’ll go out and do something else.

    That’s tellin’ ‘um JT.

Sadly, I’ll watch for awhile. If BECK and GROSS-man are both as bad as I think they are, I’ll try to concentrate on the defense to see who needs some off-season help.

I’m thinking we need the following top three picks to make this a championship caliber team. As we only have three of those this off-season, we need three top-tier FA’s instead.

    1 – QB
    2 – Weakside ILB
    3- Center
    4 – R-OT
5 – CB to replace BARNES
6 – another beast DE like JENKINS for the other side.
    7 – OG

Three top-tier starters along the o-line are absolutely necessary to protect any worthwhile QB ALLEN-SHANAHAN’s acquire. BROWN, CHESTER and MONTGOMERY will do great as subs and interchangable parts, but all three positions need an upgrade.

We need a beast WILB to run with FLETCHER. ROCKY Mac will provide admirable depth at the slot or OLB in a pinch. Re-sign him for two.

BOWEN will grind down over the season, and we need a young stud to fill-in. CARRIKER, and JENKINS will be fine on the opposite side in 2012.

We need a blanket cover-corner to run with HALL and WILSON. BARNES and BUCHANON won’t get it. THOMPSON may pan out as the number five CB. He and BARNES can scrap it out for the slot.

Well I think Beck is screwed either way. He’ll either remain the backup or he’ll have to play behind a patch work o-line and probably get killed. Terrence Austin needs to play more.
