LaRon Landry practices, but availability for Sunday’s game still uncertain

Redskins Safety LaRon Landry participated in practice today – albeit in a limited capacity – for the first time since September 5th. He’s still recovering from an injured hamstring, which he suffered shortly before the Redskins second preseason game against Indianapolis.

However, Landry’s status for Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals is still highly questionable. Both the coaching staff as well as Landry would not really divulge any information about whether he’d be ready to play (par for the course, with this coaching staff), and with a player of Landry’s caliber, along with the nature of hamstring injuries in general, they’ll likely take every precaution possible before giving him the green light to play.

If Landry misses another game, it will likely mean that Reed Doughty will get another start in Landry’s place. While Doughty had a solid game against New York statistically, his blown coverage on a deep completion to Giants receiver Hakeem Nicks, and missed tackle against running back Ahmad Bradshaw, likely stick out more in the minds of Redskins fans.
