Redskins training camp could begin Wednesday, July 27th

Redskins fans: it looks like the wait won’t be much longer.

Per Mike Jones of the Washington Post:

Wednesday — according to two sources who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to give an official word – will be the check-in day for training camp, and it is believed Thursday and Friday would feature pad-free practices. Saturday likely would be the first practice in pads.

Free agency for all players is expected to begin Tuesday, but deals won’t become official right away. So the Redskins and other teams likely will open camp without a full roster, and additions will then begin trickling in several days into camp.
