Redskins Allow Fans to Work Out With Them During Practices

National Football Post reports that the Skins actually had some fans working out with them in their recent player workouts.

According to Shemar Woods of the Washington Post, linebacker London Fletcher asked a group of fans who had “brought their stuff.”

Josh Richards, a 28-year-old who had played at nearby Robinson High School in Fairfax, Va., laced up his cleats and went through drills with players on the field.

He dropped only one pass in an interception drill and he helped setting up cones for the drills. “The terminology is crazy,” Richards said. “I told them I would be ready if they needed me.” It’s a fun story but it’s also another example of why player-run practices are completely overhyped.
