Draft Sends a Message to WR Santana Moss

According to Rich Tandler of CSN Washington, the fact that the Redskins drafted three wide receivers last week “sends a clear message” to free-agent-to-be Santana Moss. It doesn’t mean the Redskins don’t want to re-sign Moss but it is believed they will let the 32-year-old wideout go if his demands are unreasonable.

Every wide receiver who was on the roster last year with the exception of Anthony Armstrong will be fighting for a job. In particular, Malcolm Kelly and Terrence Austin will get stiff challenges for their jobs. Leonard Hankerson in particular is expected to compete for a starting job immediately.
