Teammate Feels Redskins Will Bring NT Albert Haynesworth Back

Redskins defensive end Jeremy Jarmon believes his close friend, Albert Haynesworth, will be back in Washington in 2011. In an interview with Kevin Ewoldt of HogsHaven.com, Jarmon said he does not know how the front office feels about Haynesworth, but he thinks that Haynesworth would welcome a return to the franchise he screwed over in 2010.

“Talking to Albert I think that he’ll be fine with it and a more expanded role and I know he was kind of disappointed not playing more last year,” Jarmon said. “He wants to be a Washington Redskin. There’s just been so bumps in the road and things like that. Hopefully at some point they’ll get those things ironed out. He’s a hell of a player. If anyone told you they didn’t think that they’d be lying to you because we know his potential. We know what he’s capable of and we’ve seen it.”

Indeed, Haynesworth was explosive at times in the Redskins’ nickel packages, but his lack of enthusiasm at playing the unglamorous nose tackle position in Jim Haslett’s new 3-4 scheme (which Haynesworth took forever to learn) kept him on the sidelines for a majority of the snaps. He’s not worth what Washington’s paying him, but because so much of his guaranteed money has already been handed out, the Redskins may feel compelled to roll the dice with him one more time.
