Redskins Give Out Free Tickets in Trying to Collect Season Ticket Payments Early

Redskins season-ticket holders had until March 1 to submit full payment on their 2011 invoice. Redskins season-ticket prices for 2011 did not increase, but in order to get those payments by February 18, the team offered each season-ticket holder a free ticket to one of three FedEx Field events in 2011, Tierney Plumb of the Washington Business Journal reports.

A free ticket to a Kenny Chesney concert on June 4, a Barcelona-Manchester United soccer match on July 30, and the University of Maryland vs. Notre Dame game on November 12 were offered to fans who submitted their payments early. Season-ticket holders were also able to purchase up to four upper-deck tickets for these events, as well.
