Chelle’s Picks, 01-02-11

Who’s in, and who’s out?  Who sits, and who starts?  Who has a job next year, and who doesn’t?  That’s what this week is all about.  And wins and losses in the final week of the season don”t always go to the best and worst teams in the league.

Great teams like the Eagles and the Falcons will be resting their best players, giving the Cowboys and the Panthers a chance to shine.  Teams that are out of the running, like a certain DC favorite, will devote themselves to the win to avoid getting fired.  And fair teams like the Rams will be playing their hearts out to show that they’ve earned their spot.

So for what they’re worth here are my predictions for the final week of the regular season.

Four to Watch:

Tampa Bay vs. New Orleans:  Both teams have a lot at stake in this game.  Tampa Bay always ends up being a spoiler in the playoffs.  And last year’s Super Bowl champions have been struggling up until last week when they took on this year’s favorites, the Atlanta Falcons.  They’ll have a tough fight on their hands today MrGreen on EU- kasino joten voitot saa puhtaana kateen. with the Buc’s, but I’m taking the Saints at home.

Chicago vs. Green Bay:  The Bears have earned their playoff berth, but nobody believes that they can make it to the big game.  They’ll have a hard time proving it today against Green Bay. I’m taking the Packers in a tough casino online game of smash mouth ball.

Dallas vs. Philadelphia:  Yes, we’ve all heard.  Reid is sitting his starting players.  I don’t believe it for a second.  No way the Eagles voluntarily lose to the Cowboys at home.  Dallas will take the lead early on, then fall apart and destroy themselves until the Eagles swoop in to finish them off in the last few minutes of the game.

New York Giants vs. Washington:  All year we wait to take on our division rivals at home.  And this year, we have the chance to get even for an embarrassing loss early in the season AND keep our friends in the NFC East from going to the playoffs.  On top of all that, Manning is ripe for the picking, coming out of 4 interceptions last week against Green Bay.  I say we blitz, blitz, blitz, and set ProBowl Corner DeAngelo Hall loose to return some of those passes.  I’m taking the Redskins at home, so let me hear you Hollah!!!!

Upset:

I may be the only one, but I still have faith in the Bengals, and I’m picking them over the Ravens today in Baltimore.

Who Cares?

With or without their starting players, the Patriots will still beat Miami.

Jets will start their best players and beat the Bills soundly.

Carolina will lose again today, this time to the Atlanta Falcons.

Minnesota will beat Detroit, without Brett Favre.

Oakland will lose to Kansas City.

Pittsburgh will win over the Browns.

Jacksonville will win over the Texans.

The Cardinals will win over the 49’rs.

The Colts will beat the Titans.

San Diego will win over the Broncos.

The Rams will take Seattle in Qwest Field.
