Chelle’s Picks, 12-12-10

Okay, okay, so I dropped the ball last week.  But Thanksgiving’s record was a solid 11-5.  And I’m back to give you the scoop.

This week the news might be all about the cold weather.  But things are heating up in the NFL.  Solid teams are making their final run up to the play offs.  Those of us on the cusp should be fighting with all we’ve got.  And for the truly hopeless, players should be putting their best foot forward and giving their agents some leverage for next year.

All in all, it’s going to be an interesting wee, against an opponent that’s always tough to beat.  So if you’re looking forward to a good game, let me hear you HOLLAH!!!

Four to Watch:

Tampa Bay vs. Washington Redskins:  The Bucs are one of those teams that never seem to amount to much but always seem to get it done.  They can be tough mo-fo’s when they want to be, but so can we.  Bring it on!  We’ll likely see a couple of turnovers and some hard damn hits.  But the Burgundy and Gold will bring us a win at home.  Hail to the Redskins!

St. Louis vs. New Orleans:  This may seem like an odd choice for the top billing, but trust me, you’re going to want to see this game.  The Rams are leading the NFC West right now.  Jackson is back in.  And that means this game has the perfect mix of pass and run action.  The real difference is between the talent at QB and coach.  ‘Orleans has the upper hand there, and that will be the deciding factor.  I’m taking the Saints by online casinos 12.

New England vs. Chicago Bears:  Quite frankly, I’m shocked to see the predictions on this game.  Yes, the Bears are doing well this season, and props to them.  And yes, the Patriots haven’t been playing their best on the road. But I’ll take Brady and Belichik over Lovie and Jay any day of the week.  Go Pats!

Philadelphia vs. Dallas:  You’ve got to love it when the NFC East goes head to head.  Unfortunately, it’s impossible to root for either of these teams.  But that hardly matters, because they’re playing in Dallas.  And since their coaching change, they’ve got a new life.  Vick is certainly playing well, but the Eagles are playing inconsistently at best.  I’m taking Dallas, by 7.

 Upset:

It’s time for Cincinnati to win or go home.  I’m taking the Bengals over the Steelers in Pittsburgh.

Who Cares?

Browns will beat Buffalo.

Green Bay will destroy Detroit.

Jacksonville will take the Raiders at home.

Falcons will beat the Panthers.

San Francisco will beat the Seahawks.

Jets will win against the Dolphins.

Broncos will beat the Cardinals.

Chiefs will beat the Chargers.

If the Giants ever get the chance to play Minnesota, New York will win, big time.

The Texans don’t stand much of a chance against the Ravens, no matter how much they’ve improved this year.

That was brutal today. The Redskins need to address a lot more than their roster. I wrote about it on my blog.

So you were basically 7-9. Your picks are awful. Get a life. Go Giants!
