Chelle’s Picks 10-31-10

9-5 –Now that’s what I’m talking about.  Let’s rock this house with a double digit win this week.  Here we go!!

 4 To Watch:

Jacksonville vs. Dallas:  Another knock down, drag out fight in Texas this weekend that the Cowboys will lose.  Let’s just hope they don’t drop another QB on the way.  That would be too much to hope for ;).

Washington vs. Detroit:  What a great match up!  Despite the train wreck last year (see my earlier post, Déjà vu all over again?), Washington is going to snag the pride at Ford Field.  Let me hear you Hollah!!!!

Green Bay vs. New York Jets:  This game has all the hallmarks of a Super Bowl preview (even though I still like the Ravens from the AFC).  Let’s consider it a Super Bowl bonus.  Both of these teams have tremendous talent, and both have their struggles.  I’m going to play it safe and go with the home team for a win.

Minnesota vs. New England:  This has been the best season ever.  Not only do the Skins have a winning record (HTTR!!!), but Brett Favre is getting what he deserves, every single game.  I can’t wait to see him wincing in pain on his fractured foot, getting sacked repeatedly, intercepted often, and beaten soundly by a New England team that’s just as solid as it’s ever been.

Pittsburgh vs. New Orleans:  Yes.  I’m cheating.  These are my picks, and I get to do that.  I will definitely be casino watching the Sunday night game, even if it is Halloween, and even if I won’t blackjack online be enjoying it.  Big surprise—when I’m not rooting for the Skins, I cheer for the NFC, and I’m sorry to tell you folks, but Drew Brees’ losing streak is going to continue at home this evening against the Steelers.  The good news is they’ll look better this week than they have the past few with the return of their running game.  Look out Carolina.  You’re going to get steamrolled next week.

 Upset:

They did it the first week of the season in their own house.  And even though they’ve shown a few struggles since then, I think they have the potential to do it again this week.  I’m taking the Texans over the Colts in MNF.

Who Cares?

Despite the fact that this game is being played in England, on a pitch mate, Denver beating San Francisco will not make the news this week.  The only highlight will be Mike Singletary trying to figure out what Big Ben’s doing in London.

Miami will play a tough game in Ohio this week, but I have a feeling Cincinnati’s going to pull this one out.

Kansas City will keep Buffalo’s losing streak perfect.

The Rams will win against Carolina.

I look for Tennessee to win on the road against San Diego.

The Cardinals will win at home against Tampa Bay.

I’m taking the Raiders against Seattle.
