It remains to be seen whether Willie Parker will be cut or not this coming weekend, but nevertheless he’s going to start Thursday night against the Arizona Cardinals.
Via PFT:
Despite being expected in some circles to be cut by Saturday at 6:00 p.m. ET, Redskins running back Willie Parker will get one more chance to get his team’s attention, or the attention of some other team.
We’re told that Parker will be starting Thursday night’s preseason game against the Cardinals. He’s expected to play a quarter of the game.
Parker, as pointed out recently by Barry Svrluga of the Washington Post, has only nine carries for 15 yards in two preseason appearances.
It remains to be seen whether anyone else will be interested in Parker if/when he’s cut by the Redskins. What he does on Thursday night will be a factor.
