Skins Fear FS Moore Could Be Gone Four to Six Weeks

Jason Reid today says that the Skins are concerned about safety Kareem Moore, who was hurt in the 2nd quarter of the teams loss to the Ravens Saturday night.

“I was running and then I just felt something and then I just went down,” Moore said. “I just felt kind of awkward on the play; no hit or anything.”

Team medical personnel who examined Moore determined he probably sprained his MCL, and they expect to receive confirmation after Sunday’s MRI exam, the team sources said. Barring an unexpectedly favorable MRI report, the Redskins plan to proceed as if Moore will be sidelined for the regular-season opener Sept. 12 against the NFC East rival Dallas Cowboys at FedEx Field.

Reid says that the injury to the free safety is a sprained right medial collateral ligament, and that he could miss four to six weeks.
