McNabb Interview Stirs Up Philly Once Again

In a weekend interview with Philly.com, Donovan McNabb reportedly said this about handling the leadership role of the football team:

“You win, everybody talks about you. You lose, everybody talks about you. Some young guys always want to get the credit, until they get in the shoes where they’re the ones getting the criticism, then all of a sudden, people don’t like to be criticized. I can handle that. Some people can’t. Until they get hit with that type of buzz, then they really realize the shoes that I was in.”

Namely, McNabb is talking about WR and pro bowl youngin DeSean Jackson of the Eagles here… without question. The two former teammates have had an ongoing media feud since McNabb was traded earlier this spring, where Jackson reportedly said he was ‘very happy’ that McNabb was traded, and McNabb responded by placing blame for the shutout loss to Dallas back on Jackson’s ‘youth’.

While this is basically fruitless banter between friends turned foes — let me just say one thing on the matter:  We’ll see if DeSean Jackson is still ‘very happy’ McNabb was traded come October 3rd… but I have a feeling he’ll be singing a different tune that evening.
