Now what?
If you thought there was pressure on Redskins coach Jim Zorn after last weeks loss to the Panthers, how about now after a loss to a team that came into D.C. with no wins. Yes, there will be plenty to talk about after Sunday’s Redskins 14-6 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
First off, the team has officially declared that Zorn will no longer call plays. The team after the game stripped Zorn of that duty, and Zorn met with Redskins executive vice president of football operations Vinny Cerrato, making the decision official. The team will announce a new play caller Monday.
Playing against the NFL’s 32nd-ranked defense in the Chiefs, the Redskins awful offense posted 265 yards of total offense, 147 passing yards and seven first downs. They also were just 2-of-14 on third downs. “It’s my fault. I have to be better. It truly irritates me,” Zorn said. “I’m not going to rest until I get it taken care of.”
He shouldn’t sleep for a week then, as the team went in another direction at QB Sunday after halftime, and that didn’t help. Jason Campbell went 9-of-16 passes for 89 yards and one interception before he was benched. Todd Collins didn’t do much better, as he was 6-of-14 for 75 yards.
“I felt the need to create a spark on our football team offensively and went with Todd,” Zorn said.
It didn’t really work, as the Redskins sagnet offense failed to take full advantage of the Chiefs soft defense. They couldn’t pass, and when they seemed to get going in the run game, they suddenly got away from it. All in all, it was another frustrating day for a team that suddenly looks as if major changes are ahead.
“It’s going to be a very hard week,” Zorn said. “I thought last week was a very hard week. It just got harder.”
You can say that again.

The weakness of Redskins is their ofense. They should improve that in order to win this season.
the skins have been ruined. they have un-learned how to win football games thanks to zorn… all for the price of $4 million dollars.
the results are priceless though.
