Heyer Wins the Starting Right Tackle Job

Stephon Heyer will be the starting right tackle September 13th when the Redskins open the regular season at the New York Giants. after the third-year player who wasn’t drafted out of Maryland has shown more than the veterans brought in to compete against him. Mike Williams has been beset by injuries, and Jeremy Bridges looks better as a backup guard than a tackle. That leaves Heyer to replace longtime franchise favorite Jon Jansen, who was released in May.
