Posted in Brian Orakpo looked out of place, foreign if you will, when playing the linbacker position in the game against the Ravens. While at linebacker his feet seemed heavy and shifty, similar to a young man attempting to dance the Tango for the first time without his instructor.
But when lined up at the defensive end position, Orakpo looked like he was lobbying for his nickname to mirror the title of the Robert Redford film in which the main character hit’s a baseball in to the scoreboard setting off a pyrotechnic free-for-all; The Natural.
During last nights game when playing at linebacker Orakpo looked to be much improved and comfortable. He was dropping back into coverage more fluently and playing sideline to sideline. It was exciting to watch. Orakpo’s presence was felt in the Steelers backfield on several occasions. And though he didn’t tally a sack, Orakpo has given fans another reason to look forward to the defense being on the field.
