Safeties Coach Jackson Liking What He Sees from Landry
Posted by Matt Loede on August 21st, 2009 in News
Redskins’ safeties coach Steve Jackson, gushing about FS LaRon Landry, as quoted in the Washington Times: “[The late] Sean [Taylor] made a lot of explosive plays, but he also gave up a lot of explosive plays. LaRon hasn’t made a lot of those plays that are shown over and over again on ‘SportsCenter.’ He does the dirty work that doesn’t really show up on the stat sheets. LaRon’s got a knack for when to break, when to go get it and when to hold back. … I’d take LaRon over [Troy Polamalu] any day. When you watch him play true free safety, it’s not even close in my humble opinion.”
