Haynesworth Says It’s Time to Forget Contract and Play Ball

Redskins DT Albert Haynesworth, looking forward to the start of the season and proving that he is worth the record contract he signed (Haynesworth became the highest paid- defensive player in the history of the NFL in February when he signed a seven-year, $115 million deal with $41 million guaranteed), as quoted in The Tennessean: “It’s time for football. It’s time to forget all that talk about contracts and all that other stuff. It’s time to put everything from (the offseason) behind, go out there and get back to work.”
