Zorn Entering 2009 on the Hot Seat

If the Redskins want to go in another direction with their coaching staff either during or after the season, they will have plenty of options. From Mike Shanahan to Bill Cowher, there’s good coaches sitting the bench.

So what does that mean about Jim Zorn? Is he already on the hot seat in 2009? Yes. The Washington Post takes a shot at Zorn today, saying he better be careful to get his team off to a good start this season:

While outsiders might turn an eye to Redskins Park to assess Jim Zorn’s own job security — Can he capitalize on owner Daniel Snyder’s heavy offseason investment and roster additions to return the Redskins to the playoffs after a one-year absence? — the second-year head coach said all he can do is put his head down and make a few key preseason decisions that will help the club come Week 1.

Some say that the Skins don’t have the players in place to be good enough for Zorn to survive the 2009 season – we shall see.

It wont matter who the coach is; as long as Snyder & his lapdog Ceratto keep miss-managing the organization no coach will ever win titles here. The only hope is that Snyder eventually realizes he knows nothing about running a football; fires Ceratto & hires a strong football GM or president(Bill Parcells) to run the show. Snyder needs to worry about 2 things; ticket sales & keeping the fans happy!
