It’s been a tough year for DE Jason Taylor, who came to the Skins in hopes of being a team leader and making the defense better as he still was hoping to be able to play at a high level. Instead, it’s been a year filled with frustration, as Taylor has been battling injuries.
So what will 09 hold for Taylor? Only he knows, and right now, he’s not even sure what will happen. Taylor spoke to the Miami Herald about not only playing for his old team – the Dolphins, but also about even playing at all in 09.
”You never close any door, man,” Taylor said. “You never close any door. But I don’t know what I’m going to do. A lot of it, you don’t have any control over.”
So what does Taylor say about playing at all in 09? ”I don’t know,” Taylor said. “I don’t know. I want to play ping-pong [Monday night], and, hopefully, I do it better than I’ve played football this season.”
The Redskins would like to get something in return for what they spent for Taylor, so they would love for him to be back next season, and playing at the level they thought he would be at when they acquired him.
