The Skins have officially put five-time Pro Bowl left tackle Chris Samuels on injured reserve, and have signed a couple of players as well. Samuels will require surgery after tearing his right triceps in the fourth quarter of the 24-10 loss. Also placed on injured reserve was offensive lineman Justin Geisinger, who sustained a meniscus injury in his left knee while serving as an emergency fill-in for Samuels and injured right tackle Jon Jansen.
To fill the roster spots, the Redskins promoted tackle Devin Clark from the practice squad and also signed Will Montgomery, a third-year guard who has played 13 career games with Carolina and the New York Jets.
The Redskins also released defensive end Erasmus James and signed receiver Marques Hagans and guard Rueben Riley to the practice squad. Receiver Devin Aromashodu was signed off the Redskins’ practice squad to the Chicago Bears active roster.
