Another Missed Practice for Portis Basically Seals His Fate for Sunday Night

It seems pretty much like a done deal that the Skins will be without leading rusher Clinton Portis tomrrow night when the team takes to the field against the Cowboys on Sunday night football. Portis didn’t practice Friday, and coach Jim Zorn said that if he can play at all, it will only be “in a limited fashion.”

That leads the Skins to a tough question – who will get the bulk of the carries for the huge game? Ladell Betts has been banged up, but he should see some playing time. Don’t forget about Shaun Alexander, who would love a big role on a national TV stage to show that he still has it.

For Portis, the team is going to miss him for sure, and a lot of the pressure on offense will translate back to QB Jason Campbell, who is coming off his worst game of the season two weeks ago on Monday night vs the Steelers at home.
