Cooley To Play Sunday But Misses Practice

Tight end Chris Cooley plans to play Sunday in the opening home game for the Redskins against the New Orleans Saints.  Yesterday, the star tight end sat out practice for the first time since turning pro due to a bruised quadriceps.  Cooley has been the most consistant pass receiver for the Burgundy and Gold.  Last season, he was named to the Pro Bowl for the first time.  The Saints won’t have wide receiver Marques Colston this weekend.  He has had surgery to repair a torn ligament in a thumb.
