Taylor Will Be Out Up To Two Weeks

The Redskins may not have defensive end Jason Taylor for the regular-season opener a week from Thursday against the New York Giants. The good news is that an MRI showed nothing worse than a knee sprain against the Carolina Panthers in Saturday night’s debacle. Washington lost the game 47-3 and has to try to turn things around Thursday evening against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Landover.

Head coach Jim Zorn wants to flush this game out of the team’s system. Washington quarterback Jason Campbell was hurried on his throws as the offensive line came up porous against the charging Panther defenders. The Redskins have released three players. The most recognizable is safety Vernon Fox.
