Landry to Not Play in Preseason Matchup vs Jets

The Skins will be without free safety LaRon Landry for Saturday’s preseason contest vs the Jets.  “We’re going to leave LaRon at home to continue to get treatment,” coach Jim Zorn said. “We are just trying to continue to get him ready. He’s starting to come around, just not quite as fast as we hoped.”  Landry has been hurt by a hamstring injury, and the team wants to make sure not to push him and make sure he’s ready in week one.  Word is the hammy tightens when he runs.  Zorn did comment that he fully expects that Landry will be ready to go for the Giants-Skins opener on September 4th at the Meadowlands.
