Redskins End Two A Day Workouts Today

Training camp for the Washington Redskins is about to end.  This will be the last day of two-a-day workouts for members of the Burgundy and Gold.  Cornerback Carlos Rogers might play Saturday against the New York Jets.  He had a torn ACL early last year and says he’s ready for action again.  He wants the coaching staff to tell him when he’s needed.  On another note, offensive linemen Casey Rabach and Randy Thomas went for a ride on a golf cart before the drills.  The veterans billed it as a “nature ride” to save their legs the walk down to the practice field from the locker room.

Coach Jim Zorn seemed a bit flustered, but is taking no disciplinary action against the pair.  Brett Favre is expected to start at quarterback for the Jets at Giants Stadium.  The 38-year-old veteran admits he has a tired arm and knows only a few plays that will have him basically flying blind against Washington.
