Several Redskins Injured
Posted by Matt Loede on July 25th, 2008 filed in NewsThe injury bug is biting more players for the Redskins during training camp. First, safety LaRon Landy tweaked a hamstring. Then, defensive end Chris Wilson strained a calf. After that, top draft pick Devin Thomas pulled his right hamstring. The wideout could be sidelined for a couple of weeks. It’s unclear how quickly the rookie will heal. Center Casey Rabach is being counted upon by new coach Jim Zorn to anchor the offensive line. Quarterback Jason Campbell was laughing about getting peppered with pads as he dropped back. The pads simulate opposing defenders.

One other article (USA Today?) indicated that Kelly also tweaked a hamstring.
Why all these hamstrings? Was it not a problem last year, as well? Did not the Redskins staff indicate they were going to change their conditioning procedures to address this issue? Or, is this an issue of players not doing proper warmups and wanting to excel this year because of anticipation of the coming season?
