Schweigert

The Skins today added depth to their secondary with signing former Raiders safety Stuart Schweigert to an undisclosed deal.  The 26-year-old safety has spent his entire four-year career with the Raiders, recording 315 tackles and four interceptions.  The team wanted to go in another direction with their secondary, so they dumped May 21st.  He was known as player that would at times make big hits, but then miss simple tackles.  He recorded a career-high 107 tackles in 2006 with Oakland. His production decreased in 2007 when he recorded just 69 tackles to go with two interceptions after losing his starting job late in the season.
