Newly acquired tight-end Fred Davis took to the podium at Redskins Park Tuesday and formally apologized to his team, his boss and Washington Redskins fans for a May 4 incident when he missed the final practice of mini-camp.  According to the “Washington Post,” Davis said he overslept after switching hotel rooms the night before.  “It was something that was irresponsible of me, and I just now want to move on,” Davis said.  He also said he realized that being in the pros, his every move will be watched even closer.  Officially, Davis has yet to sign a contract, so it’s unlikely he’ll be fined or suspended for missing the practice.
