Skins Get Three Compensatory Draft Picks
Posted by Matt Loede on April 1st, 2008 filed in NewsThe Redskins get three compensatory picks in the 2008 NFL Draft. The league says these compensatory free agents are determined through a formula based on post season awards, salary and playing time. Franchises losing more or better compensatory free agents than it gets in one year qualify to get compensatory draft picks. The “Burgundy and Gold” lost the following free agents: offensive lineman Derrick Dockery, running back T.J. Duckett, linebacker Warrick Holdman and cornerback Kenny Wright. The only such free agent landed by the team was linebacker London Fletcher.
