The Redskins will have a three-day minicamp starting May 2 under new head coach Jim Zorn. Starting quarterback Jason Campbell says he’s impressed with his new boss, a former quarterback with the Seattle Seahawks. Campbell will run the West Coast offense for which the lefthanded signal caller is known.

The Redskins Wednesday re-signed defensive tackle Ryan Boschetti. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The 6-4, 311-pound Boschetti has spent all four seasons with the Skins. He played total of 19 games from 2004-06, starting two and recording 15 tackles. The undrafted free agent out of UCLA did not see any action last season.
Redskins To Talk To Free Agent Receiver D.J. Hackett
Wide receiver D.J. Hackett is expected to visit Redskins Park Thursday. The free agent is a four-year NFL veteran and helped lead the Seattle Seahawks to a 35-14 wild card win over the Redskins in the playoffs by catching a 20-yard touchdown pass. Hackett has caught 105 balls for 1,394 yards and nine scores.

The Washington Redskins on Friday re-signed kick returner/running back Rock Cartwright to a 3-year, $3 million contract - including a $300,000 signing bonus; Cartwright, in 6 seasons with Washington, has 146 career carries for 647 yards along with 31 catches for 320 yards. His career average on kickoff returns is 23.9 yards per return.
