Backup QB Collins Agrees to Terms with Skins
Posted by Matt Loede on February 29th, 2008 filed in NewsIt appears that new Skins coach Jim Zorn is going to get his wish, as reports today state that QB Todd Collins has reached a deal to stay with the Redskins. The 36-year-old was visited by Zorn this week specifically to try and talk him into staying with the team and being Jason Campbell’s backup for the upcoming 2008 season. The Rams seemed to be the team that wanted the services of Collins, as new offensive coordinator Al Saunders is now with St.Louis, and wanted Collins to come aboard and be the backup to Marc Bulger. No word on what the deal is worth or for how many years.
