Zorn And Redskins Covet Chad Johnson

The Redskins can’t have enough fleet wide receivers to run new head coach Jim Zorn’s west coast offense.  One of the coveted pass catchers who really wants out of Cincinnati is Chad Johnson of the Bengals.  Both parties are interested in talking.  The “Burgundy and Gold” already has some talented receivers in Santana Moss, Antwaan Randle El and James Thrash.  In addition, Brandon Lloyd has done virtually nothing for the Redskins since signing a free-agent deal after coming east from the San Francisco 49ers.  So, this offseason could be interesting.

The 30-year-old Johnson on offense, like cornerback Fred Smoot on defense for Washington, is quite a trash talker and is one of the league’s showboats.  The Redskins also are said to be in the market again for linebacker Lance Briggs of the Chicago Bears.  He is now a free agent and Washington tried to get him before this past season.

  2. jalony says:

yo i hope we get chad

  3. chris says:

ocho is easily in the top five best recievers in the game. any deal that would land him in dc makes us a much better team.

  4. Big Kev says:

A 2nd and 3rd pick should land him here, nothing more. Why I say this because the Redskins are getting two more picks for Derrick Dockery, and Warrick Holdman. This deal makes sense, now it would be hard for defenses to focus on Cooley, and double coverage on Moss. How do we say, six in the box uh we Portis, Betts, and let’s not forget about the (caveman) Sellers. Last summer Jason Campbell worked with Randle El a little more than he did with Santana Moss it showed this pass season, so let’s not be critical of Campbell. Hopefully this time around (summer) he will go down to Florida, and workout with S.Moss to get that chemistry between one another, you guys owe it to the fans and add Chad Johnson to the equation JC get chemistry with Chad as well this is important. Can we say Peyton Manning think about it, how he prepares for the next season checkout the chemistry between him and his receivers, you have to take your level of preparation to another level. You are in the NFL NOW! I believe JC is a quick learner get rid of the ball quicker study like Todd Collins, we have a good coach in place Jim Zorn and staff. JC has some experience in the WSC offense in senior year in Aurburn, not saying they will go undefeated, but this offense looks promising the talent on this team fits this type of offense fans get excited they will focus on the draft O-line and D-line depth. NFC EAST hard as nails, check it out between 1980 – 2007 what division has had more teams go to the Superbowl you’ve guess right NFC EAST if I’m wrong about this please feel free to respond. Thank you! God Bless! Good Night!
