Zorn Is Settling Down As New Coach Of The Redskins

Talk at the water cooler remains the hire of Jim Zorn as coach of the Redskins.  Fans and players are still mulling things over.  Tight end Todd Yoder says the jury is out until the regular season schedule starts in the fall to see if Zorn can win games.  Washington has hired defensive line coach John Palermo to take over from Greg Blache.  He now heads up the defense.  Palermo is a 29 year veteran coach who will make his professional coaching debut with the Redskins.  He spent last season with Tennessee Tech University as defensive coordinator and linebackers coach.  Also joining the franchise on the offensive side is Chris Meidt.  He spent the last six seasons as head coach at St. Olaf College.  He’ll work with the offensive staff under Zorn.
