Zorn Introduced As Redskins New Coach

The  Redskins have introduced Jim Zorn as their new head coach.  The 54-year-old Zorn first was hired as the team’s offensive coordinator before being named to replace the retired Joe Gibbs on Saturday.   Zorn says the focus should not be on him or the coaching staff.  The former quarterback of the Seattle Seahawks spent the past seven seasons as quarterbacks coach of the Seahawks.

As a player, the left hander threw for more than 21-thousand yards with 111 touchdowns and 141 interceptions over 11 seasons with Seattle, Green Bay and Tampa.  Among his top priorities now is to hire an offensive coordinator. It’s unclear if he will call the plays.  Zorn says he’s crazy over the Washington running game and thinks he can help starting quarterback Jason Campbell develop more.
