Jay Glazer, of FOXSports.com, reports the Skins, who are still without a head coach, have fired defensive coordinator Gregg Williams. He is widely considered one of the best and most aggressive minds in the league. Williams, who was the highest paid defensive coordinator in the NFL, had one year remaining on his contract.

The owner’s lack of leadership and self absorption is stunning. One might have thought that after 4 years of watching a real leader in action some of it might have rubbed off. Not so. Instead of going from child to adult Dan’s regressed. Reminds me of the owner of the Yankees in many ways. At least they get results and aren’t a laughingstock.

Williams exemplifies all that is old-school skins. He also represents Giibs a skins deity. it is only natural given his performance that he would step in after gibbs departure. Snyder lost the respect he gained from convincing Gibbs to return with this move.
